Ben Cloward's Shader Graph Basics Series
Material graph study project based on tutorial exercises, with personal modifications and breakdowns.
This project is a collection of Unreal Engine material studies created while following a shader tutorial series. My goal was to understand how Unreal’s material graph works, rebuild common real-time shader effects, and practice modifying them for different visual outcomes. Each shader includes a short breakdown of the graph logic, exposed parameters, and possible gameplay/art use cases.
Several techniques in this project were learned from Ben Cloward's "Shader Graph Basics" series.
The material graphs were recreated by me in Unreal Engine, with additional parameterization, variations, and breakdown notes added for portfolio documentation.
The Dissolve Shaders (purple sphere) are created by me.
